Object Detail


A fine cream-coloured silk evening gown with leg-of-mutton sleeves. The garment is made of one layer of the silk and has two pieces of lace draped over the shoulders and tacked to the garment along the inside edges of the front and back of the gown. The bottom edge of the lace is pulled into a tassel and is completely edged with white pearls. The cuffs and neckline are also trimmed with pearls. The garment fastens up along the back opening and cuffs with snaps.
