New Zealand Lands and Survey1892 cadastral map of the Taranaki region by Surveyor-General Stephenson Percy Smith, of the Taranaki region. Extends up to the “Auckland Land District” in the north and the “Wellington Land District” in the south. Shows roads, horse tracks, “native foot tracks”, trig stations, barometric heights, “native settlements”. Confiscation areas and surveyed blocks are also shown. Map is on paper pasted onto canvas backing cloth, with wooden rods at top and bottom.
