Wedding dress

Production date
1974
Description
A wedding dress made from a fabric that is bright orange in colour, with a sheer psychedelic-style pattern laid over the orange. The dress is full-length and A-line in shape, with three-quarter length layered bell-sleeves. The neckline is a plunge neckline, but the revealing nature of such a neckline is softened by the fact it is buttoned most of the way up, in small buttons in the same material as the dress. The neckline and waistline, and hems of the layers of the sleeves, are lined with tiny white flowers. There is a tuck in the bottom hem of the dress at the footline to prevent the bride's shoes from getting stuck under the hem. The dress is made from what appears to be polyester.
