 Description
A scrapbook titled “HISTORY OF NEW PLYMOUTH TRAMS AND TROLLEY BUSES”, made by Kelvn Hynes. Book consists of pasted copied and printed photographs of trams and trolley bus transport in New Plymouth, with handwritten annotations. The scrapbook also contains pasted newspaper articles, and excerpts from editions of “Tramway Topics” - particularly the 1968 editions on the New Plymouth tramway system, authored by “Beebee”, and the 1978 editions on New Plymouth trolley buses.

Some of the photographs included are by Caleb Wyatt, F.G. Radcliffe and A.B.Hurst & Son. Others are Hyne’s own photographs from the 1960s. Some of the “Tramway Topics” excerpts quote Donn Rudd, who wrote “New Plymouth Tramways 1916-1954”, c.2010.
