Description
A studio portrait of a Māori man. He is wearing a dark coloured three-piece suit, white shirt and patterned coloured tie and dark coloured shoes. A chain can be seen attached to his vest and he has a white handkechief tucked into the top pocket of his jacket. He has short dark wavy hair that is parted to the side. He is sitting on a cane chair that appears to be on a raised platform covered with a striped mat or blanket. In his left hand he holds a book and his right hand rests on his knee. To his left is a pot plant sitting on a cane table and on his right is a patterned floral chair. Background is all blurred.
