View of New Plymouth looking towards Marsland Hill from approximately where the courthouse is today, at the corner of Robe and Powderham Streets. St Mary's Anglican Cathedral is in the centre. There are telephone poles and street lamps on corners. The roads are unsealed but the footpaths are curbed.
