Exterior view of the Sunday School opposite St Mary's Church on Vivian Street, New Plymouth. The church's South African War memorial, unveiled in 1903, is pictured in the foreground. The school building was built in 1853 and the school itself was first run by Jane Bolland, wife of minister William Bolland, and Miss Frances (Fanny) Agnes Newland (later Leatham), daughter of John and Frances Newland.
