Description
Sketch of house located at 8 Young Street, New Plymouth. The foreground depicts a parked truck in front of the house, slightly off-centre to the right. The house is located in the midground of the sketch, facing front-on to the viewer. It has a porch or verandah at the front of the house and two chimnneys, one on the right side of the house and the other on the left, appearing just above the roof. There appears to be a fence to the left of the house. There is a bush located next to the house on the right, immediately next to the chimney. There is a more abstract tree in the background of the sketch, appearing to be located on the neighbouring side of the fence that runs along the left-side of the house. The scene is depicted with loose, expressive marks with some sections washed with black ink.
