Description
View of Ōākura River Mouth at what appears to be sunset. Foreground depicts Ōākura River with black sand banks on the right side and far left midground. A cliff face with trees is located on the far left midground above the sand bank. Also on the far left on the sand bank is a large log or tree that has fallen over. The midground shows the blue ocean with a series of rocks. The sky takes up the background, and gradually shifts from a pale blue colour at the top to a dusky orange. These colours are reflected in the river, along with the dark reflection of the left sand bank.
