Description
View of Mount Taranaki and the Pouākai Ranges, most likely from Ōmata where the artist lived. A dirt road runs from the right to the left in the foreground, with two figures in korowai (one green, one red) walking into the distance at the end of the road. There are low shrubs in the foreground and a felled log on the left, with taller trees including tī kōuka and ponga alonside the road in the midground. The midground consists of gently sloping hills that merge into a dense area of bush that stretches right to the base of the mountain and ranges in the background.
