Virgin paua, shell
Description
Haliotis virginea. Small paua shell with spiral lines that are crossed by small radial folds. There is a line of holes from the edge of the shell hiding back towards the tip. The exterior of the shell is reddish brown in places and greenish blue to cream on the rest of the exterior. The interior of the shell is covered in narce with some orange streaks.
