Lance Mactra, shell
Description
Resenia lanceolata. Single valve. The shell is rounded at one end and pointed at the other. Two strengthening ribs on the inner side which colour the outside where they are are dark brown. The rest of the outer side ranges from a white colour to a brown which is from the periostracum. The inner side of the shell has white paper glued to it as the bottom of the shell is cracked.
