Chest, wooden
Description
Large wooden chest. Two metal handles are at either side and two key holes are at the front. There are five metal L-shaped fixings at each corner. The inside of the chest is lined with newspapers, identified as 'The Bombay Times' and 'The Liverpool Times', dating to 1860's. There is a faded newspaper supplement of Niagara Falls adhered to the inside of the lid. Written on the front in faded lettering is 'James Hill. Hospital Sergeant. 57th Regiment'.
