Description
The plaintiff is a farmer and stock dealer, Charles Alfred Percy Wood of Omata. The defendant is John William Gedge, a retired farmer and labourer of Fitzroy. Wood sold a secured debt of 397 pounds owed by Percy Charles Warner to the defendant. A contract was signed by the three parties involved on 25th June 1932. On 29th June 1932, the defendant, through his lawyer, notified the plaintiff's solicitors orally that he would not complete the contract.
