These
tags
are
designed
to
hang
on
the
gate
and
signal
what
type
of
milk
you
wanted
delivered
that
day.
Different
colours
signalled
different
products
like
silver
for
whole
cream
milk
or
red
for
a
bottle
of
cream.
You
could
even
ask
for
flavoured
milk
(pink
for
strawberry
and
tan
for
chocolate)
or
a
yellow
tag
would
get
you
fruit
juice.
Although
most
companies
learnt
your
regular
order
off
by
heart
and
so
many
families
did
not
bother
to
put
the
tags
out,
if
you
changed
your
order
up
they
were
a
quick
way
to
say
what
you
wanted.
With
only
a
few
loyal
customers,
milk
trucks
finally
stopped
delivering
door-to-door
in
New
Plymouth
in
2018.
