The plaintiffs were Margaret Mabel Bennett, Abel Blake Gamlin and Frank Muggeridge as executors and trustees of the estate of the late John Nicholas Gamlin, and Myra Powdrell, hopeful Gibbons and Stanley Powdrell as executors and trustees of the will of Walter Dutton Powdrell.
The action related to a partnership known as The Manaia Loan Company. plaintiffs and defendant were partners in the loan company. The plaintiffs asserted that the defendant company failed to disclose, or account for, moneys retained at the winding up of the loan company.
