Party dress from the 1920s. Sheer off-white colour with green criss-cross pattern and red and yellow dots. Dress has ruffles on both shoulders and around the collar. Side panels begin below the waist and give extra material for the bottom of the dress to flare. The side panels also have a series of three ruffles about half way down.

This dress belonged to Rose Reeve for wore it to parties and dances in 1928 when she was seventeen years old. Rose's parents owned the dairy near the corner of St Aubyn Street and Belt Road and she worked in the shop. Her parents later hired Lyn Horsfall to work alongside Rose and she married him in 1936.
