Caleb Wyatt Senior farmed along Carrington Road. As a farmer he was exempt from service during World War One but his family remembers that he always gave generously to the war effort. The family would have come into New Plymouth on Saturday market days where Wyatt Senior was likely given these small advertising tokens as a gesture of support and appreciation.
