Copy of an original carte de visite portrait of Ngamotu Te Atiawa rangatira Poharama Te Whiti. Poharama appears facing forward, from the waist up. He wears a pihepihe around his shoulders. His short, greying hair flicks out at each side and he sports a moustache. The photograph is included on page 58 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
