Copy of an original carte de visite portrait of Haimona Heroti Te Aoterangi, Ngāti Pāmoana rangatira of Te Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi. Te Aoterangi appears from the mid-torso up, facing forward, wearing a korowai adorned with dyed hukahuka. In his right hand, Te Aoterangi holds a tewhatewha adorned with feathers. Photographed in his older age, he is balding, with light-toned hair and moustache. The photograph is included on page 57 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
