Description
Copy of an original photograph of a New Zealand Cross medallion. The medal has a ribbon at the top, which has been hand coloured pink. The triangle-shaped suspension ring is attached to a bottom bar. The medal is cross shaped, and on its obverse decorated with a wreath and four stars. The top of the cross is an emblem of the British Crown. The medal is placed on a raised mount. The photograph is included on page 55 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
