Copy of an original carte de visite studio portrait of Lieutenant William Moule of the 15th Regiment. Facing forward and looking slightly to his right, Moule appears dressed in military attire, including a double-breasted coat, sash, and belt. He is balding, with hair on the sides, donning a moustache and full sideburns. Moule holds a sword in his left hand, a rests his right arm on a partially visible cabinet. On top of the cabinet, next Moule's arm, sits his military hat, labelled with his regiment's number. Moule stands on a patterned studio floor. The photograph is included on page 52 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
