"Lt. Robson R.A."
Copy of an original carte de visite portrait of Lieutenant. Robson of the Royal Artillery. Standing and looking to his right, Robson appears in Royal Artillery full dress uniform, with sash, belt, chain, cuff loops and a black fur busby. Robson holds his sword at his side in his left hand. He dons a moustache and full sideburns. In the background, a chair appears on the right side of the photograph and on the left a round table in front of a floor length curtain. The studio wall skirting board is also visible and the floor is a tiled pattern. The photograph is included on page 52 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
