Copy of an original carte de visite vignette portrait of Deputy Assistant Commissary General Francis Innis. Looking to his right and appearing from the waist up, Innis wears formal military attire, notably a toggled jacket. His hair is styled in a side part and he sports a moustache with full sideburns. The photograph is included on page 51 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
