Copy of an original carte de visite portrait of Captain Thomas Rawlings Mould R.E. The inverse teardrop-shaped portrait shows Mould, looking right, dressed in military attire. His curly hair is styled into a side part and he has full, mutton chop sideburns and a moustache. The photograph is included on page 51 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
