Description
Copy of original studio vignette portrait of Doctor Wadsworth of the 70th (Surrey) Regiment. Appearing from the lower chest up and looking forward, Wadsworth is dressed in military uniform. His hair is parted in the middle and dons a large beard and moustache. A line of small light-toned patches appear across his left breast and the shoulder strap on his jacket's left side is visible. Left edge of original photograph inset, making mount surface visible. The photograph is included on page 47 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
