Description
Military pistol holster attached to belt. Black, nylon belt with velcro size adjustments and large plastic clip buckle. Tan-coloured pistol holster hangs from the side with plastic buckles so it can be detached. The holster is of moulded plastic which attaches to the thigh with two straps, each with a plastic buckle. Black, coiled, rubbed lanyard attaches to the strap above the holster with a metal clip. There is a second metal clip at the end to attach to the pistol. Tan-coloured, double ammunition pouch attached to the belt on the opposite side.

Simon Strombom was born in Taranaki and attended New Plymouth Boys High. He now lives in Wellington. In 2008, as a Major in the Territorial Forces, he was deployed to Afghanistan as a Liaison Officer between NATO forces and the Afghan Government as part of the New Zealand contribution to the NATO led International Stabilisation Assistance Force (ISAF). He was awarded the Distinguished Service Decoration in the 2009 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for exemplary conduct in relation to his work with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
