"Nothopanax arboreum"

Description
An unframed oil on canvas. A single branch of a "Nothopanax arboreum" with multiple stems of five fingered toothed leaves. The leaves to the right are shaded a darker green with tinges of yellow or white along the edges to distiguish the importance of the toothed leaves, the leaves located to the left of the painting are coloured a lighter green with yellow tinges along the edges to create depth to the leaves. The branch also has two stems with circular seeds. One of the stems is located along the top and are painted dark brown with some having yellow centres, other seeds are white with brown centres the bottom stem with seeds are small and circular and are slightly blended in to the background.
The background consists of multiple shades of colour, in the bottom left hand side the colour is a "uniform/army" green which fans out to a "moss" green towards the bottom right hand side. The background at the top of the painting is green with undertones of brown. The background is also a scrimping techniique.
