Description
Unframed oil on canvas. This painting depicts a broken branch of a Nothopanax colensoi. Located at the top of the branch there are three blooming white flowers, the top flower is white surrounded by pistacio green coloured leaves, the other two blooming flowers are white with a yellow centre surrounded by green leaves, coloured dark green and underneath a lighter shade of green to indicate the difference between the top and bottom of the leaves. In the mid section of the branch there is a distinctive brown coloured leaf. The background is coloured pink with darker undertones and consists of a scrimping technique.
