Description
Waxeye (Zosterops lateralis lateralis) specimen skin. Very small, delicate bird. Crown, nape and rump tinged with green. Back grey. Ring of small white feathers around eye. Lesser median and greater wing coverts green. Primary coverts dark grey edged with green. Primaries and secondaries very dark grey tinged green on outer edges. Tail feathers dark grey with outer edges green except for outermost feathers. Breast grey, belly white, with brown patches. Dark eyes. Slightly curved bill.Part of the Halcombe bird collection.
