Description
Snipe, chatham island (Ceenocorypha aucklandica) male specimen skin. Upper surface brown with dark spots and feathers margined with buff. Brown tail. Side of head buff spotted with dark brown. Foreneck, upper breast and sides of body buff blotched with dark brown. Lower breast and abdomen buffy white. Part of the Halcombe bird collection.
