The Taranaki Football Association is an older Taranaki football club which no longer exists. Football is a popular sport in Taranaki, especially among younger players. The sport is organised through a Taranaki branch of Central Football, which spans the central North Island, also including Gisborne, Hawke's Bay and the Manawatu.
