"Brachyglottis repanda"

Description
Unframed oil on canvas. A single branch of the "Brachyglottis repanda." The leaves are saddle shaped, large and wavy edged. The leaves located at the top of the branch are a mulberry colour, the lower leaves located on the branch are wine coloured. There are also leaves that are colured grey with tinges of purple that indicate the underside of the leaves and show distinctive veins. At the top of the painting and above the leaves are flowers that have been painted by using a dotting techinque and are coloured mulberry, white and yellow, there is also another flowering limb at the bottom right handside of the branch and has also been painted using the dotting technique and the same colours however the limb is not as full of flowers as the top two flowering limbs and is slightly fading in to the background.
The background is a multitude of blended colours with the bottom section consisting of dark brown and light brown on the right hand side and blended blue and brown or the left hand side. The background at the top of the painting is lighter brown with tinges of mulberry and grey.
