Half-plate glass negative showing the exterior of the Opunake Power Station on Beach Camp Road, constructed in 1923 and designed by the engineering firm 'Templin and Toogood'. The station is a large building with 5 windows down the left side and two chimneys on a pitched roof. There are two power poles in front of the building on the right. There is an earth bank in the foreground to the left of the building and a grass- and bush-covered hill behind it.
