Copy photograph of original full-length portrait of Lieutenant Wynington, 12th Regiment. Wynington is standing with his legs crossed and his left hand in his pocket and a walking stick in his right hand. He is wearing a dark military jacket and trousers, and a 12th Regiment cap. He also has a fob in his left pocket. There is a painted studio background behind Wynington with a coastal scene visible through an arched window, and a curtain behind him on his left. The photograph is included on page 42 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
