There is a pedestal with a 57th Regiment hat on it on his right and a floral curtain on his left. He is wearing military uniform. Waller has a moustache and a full beard. The photograph is included on page 41 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
