Copy photograph of original full-length portrait of Lieutenant A.C. Manners from the 57th (Middlesex) Regiment. Manners is standing with his left elbow leading on a pedestal. He is wearing a dark-tone jacket and trousers, and is holding a pair of gloves and a cane in his left hand. He has a fob chain attached to his left jacket pocket. A 57th Regiment hat is sitting on the pedestal. Manners has a moustache and full beard. The photograph is included on page 40 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
