Description
Copy of newspaper reproduction showing a view of Tongaporutu. Three small buildings can be seen near the centre of the image next to a road that curves away to the left. A river runs across the bottom of the image from the left corner in the foreground and curves back up towards the left in the midground. There is a bridge crossing the river in the midground. The land on the left of the river is mostly cleared with some trees, and the large hill on the right of the river is covered with bush and trees. The photograph was reproduced in the Auckland Weekly News, December 11 1919.
