Copy negative of a halftone newspaper reproduction showing a fire in the storage tank at Taranaki Petroleum No.2, Moturoa. The fire can be seen on the left with a huge plume of smoke rising. There are several people watching the fire. A derrick is partially visible on the left. There are wire fences in the foreground.
The original photograph was published in the Auckland Weekly News on March 4 1909.
