Copy photograph of original bust portrait of Col. Henry James Warre (1819-1898) from the 57th (Middlesex) Regiment. Warre is wearing a mid-toned jacket with a rounded collar. He is a moustache and full sideburns, and his hair is parted at the side. He is looking towards his right. The portrait has been vignetted. The photograph is included on page 38 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
