Copy photograph of the regimental dog of the 57th Middlesex Regiment (Duke of Cambridges' Own). The dog is lying on the ground in a studio setting, looking up at a carved wooden chair. There is a 57th Regiment hat and a cane on the chair. The original photograph is titled "A Faithful Comrade". The photograph is included on page 38 of William Francis Robert Gordon's album "Some "Soldiers of the Queen" who served in the Maori Wars and Other Notable Persons Connected Herewith".
