Description
Colour transparency slide showing an aerial view of the construction of the New Plymouth airport terminal building and runway. The view is in landscape format and shows the partially completed runway as a strip of bare land running horizontally across the centre of the image.
The new airport replaced an old grass airfield at Bell Block and opened in 1966.
