Description
This SAR log book is a diary of events of the search and rescue field headquarters team. At each point in a search and rescue operation events were logged, so that everyone involved knew what was happening throughout the rescue operation. This system has since been superseded by an electronic log system.
David Rawson referenced this log book for event logs in his book ‘Search’, including the Hawke’s Hoax case and Ross Dawes case (longest unrecovered body on Mount Taranaki).
