Description
Ispidina picta. Common Name: African Pygmy Kingfisher.
A small bird with a large yellow beak. The feathers are predominately a shiny dark blue. It has brown above its eyes and the underside. Its throat is white. Behind the eyes towards the back the feather are a shiny violet. It is about 11cm from tip of beak to end of the short tail.
