Cross, Volunteer Combatants

A French Volunteer Combatants Cross (Croix du Combattant Volontaire) . The bronze cross features a left facing helmeted man " REPVBLOVE FRANCAISE " is marked in a border around this design. The arms of the cross are ornamented with foliage designs and a sword stands upright in the centre. " COMBATTANT VOLONTAIRE / 1914-1918 " is marked on the reverse. The cross is attached to a ribbon featuring orange, green and yellow stripes.
