Medal, Order of Liberation (1939-45)

Description
An Order of Liberation Medal (Ordre de la Liberation) 1939-45. The rectangular bronze medal features an upright sword imposed on it with the hilt laterally pierced for the suspension for the ribbon. A Cross of Lorraine, the symbol of Free France, is imposed on the sword. " PATRIAM / SERVANDO / VICTORIAM / TULIT " is marked on the reverse (In serving his country, he assured victory). The medal is attached to a green ribbon with black stripes.
