Description
An Italian Campaign Medal 1943-1944 (Medaille de la Campagne d'Italie 1943-1944). The obverse features the Gallic cockerel at the centre and and a bound laurel wreath at the edge. " CORPS EXPEDITIONNAIRE FRANCAIS D'ITALIE 1943-1944 " is marked around the cockerel. The revere features the inscription " CEF REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE " within a bound laurel wreath. The thin vertically striped red and white ribbon is attached to the medal with a simple suspension ring through a laterally pierced barrel shaped suspender.
