Description
A French Legion of Honour (Légion d’honneur) medal. The white enamelled five pointed star with a green enamelled wreath between the arms. The obverse features a central gilt circle with a right facing portrait of Napoleon. " NAPOLEON EMPEREUR DES FRANCAIS " is marked in gilt lettering on a dark blue enamelled border. The medal is surmounted by a crown and suspended by a simple ring. An Imperial eagle features on the central gilt section of the reverse." HANNEUER ET PATRIE " is marked around it.
