Description
The couple seated at front are Henry Kitchingman (1860-1919) and his wife Mary Bruce (nee Allery) (1858-1946). It's thought the man standing at left is Harold Richard Kitchingman (1895-1976) and the woman standing is Florence Allery Cook (nee Kitchingman) (1887-1950). The other three men are probably Arthur Laslett Kitchingman (1892-1979), Henry Newnham Kitchinman (1886-1964) and Percy Gascoigne Kitchingman (1889-1943), but in which order is not known.

The front two are Henry Kitchingham (1860-1919) who taught at and was later Headmaster of Rahotu School in the 1890's then went farming on the Upper Kahui Rd. c1901, his wife Mary Bruce nee Allery (1858-1946). As he looks the youngest the man on LHS would be Harold Richard Kitchingham (1895-1976), the woman would be Florence Allery Cook nee Kitchingham (1887-1950) and the other 3 men are Arthur Laslett (1892-1979), Henry Newnham (1886-1964) and Percy Gascoigne (1889-1943) Kitchingham but in which order is not known. Percy continued farming the Upper Kahui Rd. property until his death in 1943 and is buried in the Rahotu Cemetery as are his parents, Henry & Mary. Henry was born in London and Mary in Durham. They married in 1885. The children were born in New Zealand.
