Description
A World War I German Iron Cross (Second Class). The obverse of the cross pattee features a crown on the top arm and a "W" at the centre and " 1914 " on the lower arm. The central portion of the cross is black and fringed by a thin chain-like border. " F W / 1813 " is marked on the reverse along with a crown and an oak bough. A thin black and white striped ribbon is tied to a simple suspension ring.
